Leadership & Responsibilities

As Professor & Head of PSG's Information Technology department (2017–2026), she ran research guidance and day-to-day administration, refreshed the UG/PG curriculum and received NBA accreditation, and grew the department's infrastructure — expanding the PG laboratory with dedicated server connectivity and standing up both an IoT lab and a research lab. She built out industry partnerships too, including the department's MoU with Samsung PRISM and BCC company. As Dean, Computing since May 2026 she continues that work at Coimbatore Institute of Technology, alongside curriculum refinement and department oversight.

Earlier in her career she wore many departmental hats: Programme Coordinator (2007–09, 2011–18) steering accreditation and mentoring junior faculty; BOS In-charge (2005–09, 2014–18) authoring new B.Tech-IT and M.Tech/M.E.-BCS syllabi across four regulation cycles; Senior Editor of the National Journal of Technology since 2010; and roles as Tutor, ISO In-charge, Department Library In-charge, Editor of the Tech Bulletin, Deputy Chair for HP-sponsored projects, and Senior Auditor for Anna University's academic audits.

Conferences Organized

She has helped bring international voices to Coimbatore repeatedly — from a 2012 conference with speakers from the UK and the US, through to the IEEE ICISCoIS series (2023 and 2026), which each drew 250–300 delegates and resource persons from the US, UK, Australia and IIT alumni networks. Two national conferences round out the record, including a 2007 event backed by IIT Delhi and CSIR.

Service & Professional Standing

She has established three laboratories over her career — a research lab, an expanded PG lab, and an IoT/hardware lab — and holds memberships across five professional bodies: Life Member of ISTE and the Advanced Computing and Communications Society, Fellow Member of the Institution of Engineers, and Senior Member of IEEE.

As Senior Editor of the National Journal of Technology (PSG College of Technology) and a reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems, Elsevier's Applied Soft Computing and Neurocomputing, and several Inderscience journals, her editorial reach extends well past her own publications. She has evaluated twenty plus Ph.D. theses for universities including Jadavpur University, Annamalai University, Pondicherry University, VIT and VTU, most recently in July 2026. Beyond the university, she serves on AICTE inspection panels, Anna University's affiliation and academic council committees, question-paper-setting panels, and BOS committees for other colleges — subject expert in the Academic Council of Nanda Engineering College, Erode.

A commitment to academic integrity, inclusive growth, innovation-driven education, and the creation of globally competent engineering graduates.
